The ski instructors of Sölden have only one motto:
Learn skiing by having fun and enjoying the lessons with a certified ski instructor who will take you to the most beautiful spots!

The local ski schools boast up to 12 different ability levels for groups from 5 to 10 persons. Ultimate and successful instruction is guaranteed. Private lessons are available on prior arrangement, ranging from single lessons and week courses to measure-made instruction units.

Glacier skiing in autumn

Skiing at its finest on one of Austria's largest glacier areas. Rettenbach Glacier and Tiefenbach Glacier feature not less than 20 km² of perfectly groomed slopes surrounded by the stunning Alpine scenery.

The Glacier Ski Areas are easily accessible by bus or car, following the highest Panorama Road within the entire Eastern Alps. (Length: 14 km from Sölden to the Glacier). Both Glaciers are connected to each other by the scenic, 1,7 km long "Rosi Mittermeier Road Tunnel". Skiers can take advantage of the oustanding Ski Tunnel, situated at 3.240 m above sea level, that guarantees a quick and easy change from Rettenbach Glacier to Tiefenbach Glacier.



10 state-of-the-art ski lifts and gondolas with an average capacity of 20.000 persons per hour and 38 km of immaculate ski runs ensure perfect skiing holidays, especially in autumn and early winter. As Tiefenbach Glacier is characterized by its gently rolling and broad slopes, it makes a truly unique haven for beginners or all those who perfer skiing at a more leiseurely place.
Rettenbach Glacier boasts challenging terrain for advanced skiers. Experts can improve their skills on the slopes, where every year late in Octrober, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup celebrates the season's opening with the first men's and women's ski races. It has also become a tradition that the International Snowboard World Cup starts on Sölden's Rettenbach Glacier. Watch out of the wide range of events ski and equipment tests taking place on all weekends in autumn!

SLOPES

63 km red ski trails, 53 km blue ski trails, 28 km black ski trails & 6 km ski routes provide ultimate skiing fun for both beginners and advanced skiers at Giggijoch, as well as for expert racers at Gaislachkogl.
In addition, Gaislachkogl peak (3,058 m) is a truly outstanding insider's tip for lovers of off-piste skiing.

from November trough May thanks to the ski area's high-Alpine location (1,350 - 3,250 m), 2 glacier ski areas at Rettenbach & Tiefenbach, snow making systems covering all slopes lower than 2,200 m.

Sölden has the marvelous big3 vantage points - Therefore it is Austria's only ski area with 3 mountains higher than 3,000 meters which are accessible by lifts or gondolas. And the Big3 ralley ranks among the most beautfiul ski trails across the entire ski region, comprising also a visit to all BIG 3 platforms.

Sölden's great winter ski area is directly connected to the glacier slopes by a number of ski lifts and gondolas called Golden Gate to the Glacier. Skiing enthusiasts can ski uninterrupetedly from the village of Sölden up to the glaciers at the elevation of 3,250 m- With a total length of 12.8 km the ski route from Schwarze Schneide at Rettenbach Glacier is the region's longest ski trail featuring 1,880 m elevation change. The ski route across Rettenbachtal valley (6 km) is famous skiing experts and sports fan!
